Dijon vs Chalon

The big derby of Burgundy region is taking place tonight in the city of mustard and is also an important game, especially for hosts.

Since it’s a derby, I’m not gonna tip on a winner, but for your knowledge, the last time Dijon won the derby was in 2004 and they only won 6 of last 23.

I prefer to go for an over in this one, even if latest performances of Chalon have been far from impressive on the scoring sheet. The thing is I’m still expecting a high tempo game in this passionate game because being offensive is the only way for Dijon to prevail. And as I said before, Dijon is a team that likes to run and gun especially at home where they scored above 80 points in 6 of their last 7 home games. Dijon is also known for being a mediocre defensive team as their game are too much attracted by the basket, plus their short bench don’t allow them to defend and thus to make fouls.

On the other hand, in my book Chalon is kinda similar team who likes to run and use a lot of the 3 pt shoot. With Mitchell finally healthy, I guess they won’t have any problems to adapt to a high tempo.

As for the Pau/Paris game, the game should be really closed between those teams and I believe both would score amore than 80 pt each.
