NBA - New Jersey Nets v Golden State
10 December 2009
Preview By Tipster ElCapitan
Handicap -2.5 : +2.5
I would like to start by saying that I have been trying to post this pick early in the morning today but with no luck due to technical reasons.
Do you feel comfortable placing your money on loser teams?
I most certainly don't for a number of reasons.
Do you like to follow the market when the values (or handicaps) start falling... and falling?
I most certainly don't for a number of reasons.
I hate the fact that I make this particular post at this particular moment as there is already a visible trend in the market that favours my pick and as time passes it only gets stronger. The same handicap (-2.5) I post now at a value of 2.00 I got it this morning for a value of 2.55. However I still think it's a good pick and this is why I decided to post it.
As I said I hate to put my money on loser teams but no matter having only a 2-19 record so far I certainly do not regard NJN as a loser team. I have been following their games and all the players have been fighters in court losing some games mostly out of frustration rather than incompetence.
I sense that tonight the NJN will have their first comfortable (aka easy) win and I will back them up to win tonight's game by 3 or more points.
I expect Devin Harris being consistent tonight as he has been the past three game and along with Lopez and Douglas who steped up big time last night to lead the Nets in their first back to back wins for the season.
Despite the Nets having lost all past four meetings with the Warriors I believe they will win tonight. Another, secondary, set of reasons I back up the Nets in tonight's game against the Warriors is that A) the Warriors haven't been doing any better than the Nets in the past 10 games and B) I expect the Nets to end the season with more wins than the Warriors.
GL to everybody, gamble responsibly, and enjoy the games rather than stress over them :)
Best
