Tonight’s fixture takes us to the Dock Océane where Le Havre hosts Pau in an interesting match ups between to offensive teams.
Last week end, I explained why Pau has became a much more offensive team since the winter break. The additions of scorers such as Graves, Trepagnier and Robinson really changed the face of the squad, because they are reliable weapons on the perimeter. Robinson is really dangerous because he’s playing as a power forward who likes to stay close to the 3 pts line. The guy is sinking 40% of his attempts and creates a lot of space for others because you can not afford to let him do or he’ll kill you. Moreover, PG Stanic is getting back to his best level and this is a decisive factor as he’s much creative, averaging 7 assist/game and he’s a guy who can easily find the open men. Recent Pau’s games since the break have turned into spectacular as they scored more than 90 points in three of their last 4 league games. They are attempting 24 Threes with a nice 45%.
On the other hand we have Le Havre an offensive minded team with a “run and gun” mentality. The hosts are first in 3 points’ attempts and at home with more than 27, they are always tough to match with. Their last games have also been much offensive with 174 pts in Gravelines, 173 against Dijon, 158 at Strasbourg.
All in all, I expect a high tempo in Le Havre tonight with 2 shooting machines who will abuse from the 3pts shoot. Both teams should be able to score at least 80 points each as their defence are not their priority, that’s why I’ll be backing the over in this one
