Quality difference should speak in favour of the Spanish side as they are 2 classes above their opponent, with Girona being quite strong at home and Chalon who are lousy travellers. Motivation should also be more on Spaniard side as the Uleb cup can be an easier way to qualify for the EL, while Chalon is not expecting anything as they have already fulfilled their target.

With an 8 point deficit to overcome, I guess that Girona will start with a huge pressure on the French in order to build a large advantage. I believe we would see them reach a 20/25 point lead, and then manage to keep it till the end, because if they keep things around 12/15 points they won’t be prevented from a 3pt rain, as Chalon won’t hesitate to launch threes.
