Paris-Levallois vs Dijon

Well, I don’t know what’s going on or if odds compilers are influenced by the name of Paris, but I really don’t see any reason why hosts are such favs in this one. I mean I was expecting a much closer line. Paris eventually ended its 7 seven game loosing streak in Strasbourg in a game they were supposed to loose especially after being down by 12 points at the 15th minutes but Foster and newly added Ffriend had great night, with respectively 33 and 25 in efficiency. Paris is still in a healing process after all the troubled they had over the past weeks (roster + coach changes) and we can not take that win for granted and say that they are back on track again.

In this important game regarding the relegation fight, Paris is hosting in form Dijon, who won 4 of their last 5 (1pt loss against Cholet). The guests have defeated ASVEL, Vichy, Nancy and Roanne in big fashion, with a limited rotation though, but that just says enough about their current form and mental freshness. Everett is eventually playing at a high level and combines with Sciarra to be the best back court in the league, Krupalija and Simon are dominating in the paint with the first one being a dangereous outside shooter too.

I’m expecting a tighter game than odds suggest. Paris may have some advantage in the paint with Gray/Akpomedah and Ffriend especially if the latter one has the same game as he had last week, but Simon and Krupalija are more than solid players, and in average Dijon takes more rebound that Paris. But at the backcourt it’s a different scenario. I expect Foster to have a great game, but Paris lacks talented players to cope with Sciarra/Everett and N’Doye who’ve been on fire lately. Plus Sciarra is always motivated to play against Paris because he had a long story with that club (won French title in 97) and we can count on him to deliver big time tonight.

I recommend medium staked though, because refs were not really clear last week in Strasbourg. Dijon has a bit shorter bench and can’t afford to make too many fouls but Paris is almost in the same situation but can count on one more player.
